Why Be a DJ?
WHRT is open to all undergraduate students and is funded through the student activities fee. Becoming a member has some very important benefits beyond having fun and getting professional quality experience at the station. Your participation in WHRT will become part of your academic transcript and the shows you produce and the activities you participate in become valuable entries on your professional resume. Employers love active and engaged students and WHRT is a great way to practice public speaking, exhibit your creativity and network with others that share your interests. As part of our program of accepting students into the station we have created this brief questionnaire that will help us find you a slot for programming and will explain your responsibilities and our expectations of you. There is also a place to tell us what you expect! We want this experience to be great all the way around.

Please answer the following questions!
· What is your level of experience in radio or media production?
· What kind of radio program would you like to work on?

The role of the DJ at WHRT is to provide entertainment, information and ideas to the Sacred Heart community. A DJ is expected to follow station and university rules and regulations. A DJ should be responsible, and on time for his or her show. If, for any reason, a DJ is unable to make his or her time commitment for a show, the DJ must inform the General Manager as far in advance as possible and find another DJ to cover their show. A DJ should be careful with and respectful of the equipment. Any damage to the equipment should be reported immediately.
